Buy 3 Get 1 for $1 (B3G1) Tires - Quick Reference Guide

  1. Sell all four tires on the RO
    • Keep normal cost on all four tires
    • This ensures inventory is relieved correctly
  2. Set the 4th tire’s selling price to $0.00
    • Do not change the cost
    • Do not use a separate B3G1 part number
  3. Do NOT post the discount to Discount account on the RO
    • The free tire is handled by the $0 sale price
  4. When the credit is received
    • Post the credit directly to the Tire cost of sale account
    • Do not post it to Discounts
    • Review any ROs where:
      • A B3G1 part number exists in inventory
      • Outstanding Returns show B3G1 entries
      • Discount account was credited more than once
