Overview: Currently, Mopar cannot build remanufactured (reman) transmissions for dealerships because they do not have the cores. Using this program, Mopar pays the dealership more to send the used core in to be remanufactured. They credit the dealership the core as soon as it is received. When the transmission is ready to ship, they bill the transmission with the core charge. This program is available to all Mopar dealers.
What happens at the store level? The core would not need to be charged to the customer because the dealership sends the core in and receives core credit before they are invoiced/receive the part. When the part becomes available, the dealership is invoiced (for the part and a core charge). The part is shipped, received into inventory and then billed to the customer.
Parts Team:
Handling the core in PartsRec: Invoices that have a core credit that fits the program description will most likely end up in Need Assistance. The end user should note the invoice in PartsRec and assign it to the support team to generate the transactions. Appropriate verbiage to help us easily identify the action needed can be seen in the example below. 
After PartsRec support completes the request, the end user will see a “DIRTY CORE” transaction in the Outstanding => Dirty Cores tab. The note, who generated and from what invoice is tracked here. When the part arrives and is billed out, PartsRec will automatically generate the offsetting for this transaction. Both transactions should be added to a memo and marked as posted per no adjustment is needed by the accounting team.

PartsRec Support: The appropriate transactions to generate are “CORES”. It is necessary for the support team to handle per end users do not have access to generate “negative” cores. We should add a similar note as well.
