Mopar/Chrysler ARC Battery Consolidation Core Charges and Credits

MOPAR/Chrysler uses a 3rd party to drop off and pick up battery/battery cores.  Each battery core value is currently $18.00.  When billed for the drop off you will see one consolidation “ARC” line parsed in from the Chrysler invoice uploaded into PartsRec like the example below.  Likewise, when a credit is received, there will be one consolidated “ARC” line.

In Dealer Connect the part does not have an exchange amount listed so the debit nor credit ever hit your parts gl account.  It is not appropriate to generate a transaction manually nor match a dirty core transaction under the Dirty Cores tab in PartsRec.

Best Practice*

  • Ensure no exchange amount on battery part in Dealer Connect and DMS
  • When billed for the consolidated cores, allocate to an inventory adjustment account
  • When credited for the consolidated cores, allocate to a discount account

*If you do add the exchange value, you would not allocate as you would have a matching dirty core transaction when core is billed out.  Allocation account choices are determined by the end user(s)
