Variance Calendar
There are two ways to get to your variance calendar: click the 5th Daily Action Item or through your PartsRec menu under Reports.
The variance calendar shows how your variance changes day to day. This allows for a daily variance review as well as allowing you to tackle your variance in smaller, more manageable chunks.
The variance calendar is color coded to show variance type and intensity. A green day on the calendar indicates no variance change. A red day indicates a shortage occurred. A blue day indicates an overage occurred. The darker the color, the bigger the variance to draw your eye to your largest variance issues first.
The panel on the right side of the variance calendar breaks down your bigger variance number into different categories. Hovering over “This is why” provides a brief explanation of each category. Clicking on a specific category will take you directly to that tab of the variance section. From there, you will see only variance errors from that specific date. For example, September 14 shows -$32.80 in PAD Errors. Clicking on the blue PAD Errors hyperlink directs you to the Variance section in the PAD Errors tab to review and correct the variance error.
